Vinicola Santandrea

The Vineyard in Borgo Vodice

With an extension of 20 hectares it represents the historic vineyard of the farm, the first that has been planted after our arrival following the expropriation of our land in Tunisia.

The soil classification is mainly sandy and we opt for grassing operation to make the soil more suitable to the grapevine cultivation. The vine variety farmed here are typical of DOC Circeo (controlled designation of origin), Trebbiano and Malvasia for white wine, Merlot and Sangiovese for red one.

Moreover also Sirah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Montepulciano, Cesanese, Malvasia Puntinata adapt themselves to this area.

The vine training systems are the double Tendone (grapes grown overhead on arbores or pergolas) with 2200 plants per hectare and the Guyot training system with 4500 plants per hectare.
